Get some outfits matching tips
On this post of, you’ll learn some outfits matching tips. Here is the first lesson. When it comes to mix and matches clothes and accessories, many girls I know struggles to do it. I do to, especially when the season change or when the trend passes from full crazy pattern to minimalist. When I was younger, I did struggle a lot. By the time, I was going on fashion blog to get myself tips to mix my outfits. Now, due to my studies in arts, I do find it more easily to match my clothes. But let me tell you three easy tips to pretend you are a professional outfit mixer.
The most important thing when you want to mix two pieces of clothing’s that have a pattern, you must ensure that they are different in two ways. First, it’s the pattern itself. For example, if you have a skirt with a floral design, don’t match it with a floral top. It will look yet funky but not cute. Second, you want to make sure both of the patterns are different consistency. For example, if you have a thin line design, you can match it with bold flowers pattern. The thing is, should not put two similar pieces in your outfit if you want it to look cute. You also have to think about contrast it is going to make. Many fashion blog contain great idea or exemple of great pattern mixing.
For the seconde outfits matching tips, you want to use bases colors to start your outfit. If you start with a colorful dress with crazy pattern on it, it will be way more difficult to match than a simple black tee. You can stay tuned to the trendy colors, or the colors of the season to get great base pieces of clothing in your wardrobe or to know which one to use. Colors are a very important thing to think about. So colors just don’t go together and other do. Colors that are easy to mix and match whatever the seasons are: black (obviously), denim/jean, white and stripes (even if it’s not a color). Trust me, starting with these you will get out easily of your room in the morning.
When it comes to texture, you must think about it as a pattern. Fur and knit are trendy but some design just doesn’t go with them. Textures are usually the stand out pieces in an outfit. Fur coat, red leather jacket, chunky knit vest are just a few examples that we want to put forward when dressing up in the morning. You should drive your outfit toward a simple and minimalist mix. But it depends on your style and on the trends, of course. Silk and velvet are also very trendy in this time of the years, so you could try to get this silver silk out of the closet for this December and mix it with black jeans or a cute skirt. Here an example of a quick outfit with simple base clothing, as you see, it is very simple in terms of colors, but it has standing out pieces. The only pattern in this outfit is the neck scarf, and it is red. It has two things to match. Jeans and a white tee is always a win-win so starting whit that, you are sure to never make a mistake. Next, we have the leather jacket, which is, very bold. Without the neck scarf, my outfit would look totally different.
This outfit is not very winter-friendly, but it can be wearable in cold Summer and in Fall. But even if we are not in the right pieces for this season, you can still use the colors to make a great outfit yourself. Red, black, white and jean is a great mix. The leather is just an add, you could have black jeans and a denim jacket instead. Or red boots for example (which I don’t have, sadly). The white tee could be replaced by a button-down shirt any other nice shirt. Just keep in mind to keep things simple and that too much is just like not enough.
*Just note that I am not a model, and I don’t have the body for it anyway, so thanks to you for respecting that.
